Signatures in Truke KF are a feature designed to meet the needs of norms and procedures that require approvals, auditability, and evidence of review, such as ISO 9001.

In KF, signatures are attached to a specific version of an item. This ensures that any review or approval is valid only for that exact state of the information (signatures for entire structures or sets of items are not currently supported). Multiple users can independently sign the same item version, enabling workflows in which documents or action plans must be reviewed by different roles (e.g., technical leads, quality assurance, safety officers). For items used as templates or types, signatures also serve as checkpoints, confirming that the structure has been reviewed and approved before reuse.

The signature system supports internal accountability, version tracking, and collaborative review. It is not aimed for use in high-security or legally binding contexts directly.
